Several unanswered questions have been left behind by Jakana Suleiman Nadduli, son of former minister Hajji Abdul Nadduli, after he was found dead Monday morning at his home in Luwero.

Nadduli, whose cause of death came as a surprise and mystery to many of his colleagues and relatives, had defected from the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) to opposition party the National Unity Platform (NUP), headed by former presidential contender Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine.

Although he was initially a staunch NRM member, Jakana, as he was commonly known amongst pals and colleagues, later turned government critic after failing to achieve some of his aspirations under NRM.

He was a few months ago released from jail weeks after he was abducted from his Makindye home by security later, charged with promoting sectarianism.

Following his abduction, Jakana was remanded to Butuntumula prison and at the time of his death he was still on bail over the said charges.

At the time of his death however, Jakana had become so close to Bobi Wine and other NUP stalwarts like Lewis Rubongoya, MP Francis Zaake, among others.

It is however not yet clear what led to his mysterious death and whether he died as a result of natural causes or due to the severe torture he was subjected to during the time he as in detention.

Details about this developing story coming up shortly.
