Tooro kingdom Omukama Oyo Nyimbab Kabamba Iguru this week hosted Buganda kingdom eldest Prince, Crispin Jjunju Kiweewa, who paid him a courtesy visit at his palace at Karuziika, in Fort Portal, Bunyangabo District.
In a bid to observe the Ministry of Health Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Prince Jjunju didn’t travel with a delegation from Buganda kingdom as would have been the norm, but nonetheless, he was escorted by a few minders.
Although what the two royals discussed still remains confidential, our Moles at Karuziika reveal that the agenda of their meeting rotated around how both kingdoms can work together to uplift the livelihoods of the youth amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
We are told that during the visit the Omukama took Prince Jjunju on a short tour of the Karuziika kingdom during which he appreciated the several Tooro kingdom artifacts that dot several spots in the palatial palace.
It should be noted that Tooro and Buganda kingdoms have had a long-running cordial relationship over time, which has seen royals from both kingdoms paying each other courtesy visits on different occasions.
