Lady Winnie Amoo Okot, who is the former wife of fallen Speaker Rt. Hon. Jacob Oulanyah, has today celebrated the first anniversary of her wedding with American hubby Derek Allison.
It is exactly one year since Lady Winnie, who has two daughters with the fallen Speaker, got married with Allison.
The two held a private wedding in America, after cohabiting for a long time, following Oulanyah and Lady Winnie’s divorce in 2016.
The couple hooked up around 2018 after Lady Winnie had spent a very long time battling loneliness and the moment he entered her life, he erased away all the heartache that had been caused by Oulanyah.
The two currently have a son, who is their firstborn, although Allison has since adopted Oulanyah’s daughter and his raising them as their father, together with his son (their step brother).
Lady Winnie cherishes Allison so much for having turned into the father to her daughters that Oulanyah, who was always busy with state duties, never was.
Unfortunately, however, the girls were not able to attend their father’s burial which was held in April this year due to global travel restrictions as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
