Parents of a primary seven pupil who disappeared last early month and has been missing since then are living in untold uncertainty, fearing their son could have been kidnapped.
According ASP Luke Owoyesigire, the Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson, the Police at Kawempe are investigating the disappearance of Nyanzi Frank, a 14-year-old Primary Seven Pupil at Guiding star Primary school in Kawempe, who missing on July 7th, 2022.
“On the fateful day, the child was sent home to collect the balance on school fees, but, his uncle identified as Luutu David, alleges that the child had a smartphone which he questioned him about and Nyanzi claimed to have borrowed it from a friend at school,” Owoyesigire said in a statement.
He added that; “This prompted the uncle to take the child back to school where they asked his classmates with the help of the administration to whom the phone belonged, but all pupils denied it.”
He revealed that Nyanzi was then suspended and the uncle urged the administration to inform his father.
However, when the child heard that his father was going to be informed, he requested to go for a short call never to be seen again.
