Partiers Fly Over Walls To Flee Arrest After Police Raid Cayenne Bar

By Ivan Mwine
Pandemonium broke out in Bukoto and neighbouring areas on Sunday evening after the police raided Cayenne bar, where revellers were partying despite the COVID-19 ban on bars.

Eyewitnesses at the scene reveal that the police pounced on the unsuspecting revellers as they enjoyed booze, snacks and blazing music.

On seeing the cops, all the revellers scattered in different directions to evade arrest; although some were arrested, many others flew over fences in the neighbourhood and fled from the areas using boda-bodas that whisked them away.

However, the police are yet to reveal how many revellers were arrested during the operation.

It should be not that President Yoweri Museveni suspended the reopening of bars until at least 4.5 million Ugandans get vaccinated against COVID-19.
