Although they recently got married at a traditional ceremony, pastor Aloysius Bugingo’s days of bonking his new lover Susan Makula are numbered.
This is because his former wife Teddy Naluswa is doing everything possible to ensure that Bugingo’s marriage with Makula fails, because the Pastor is still legally married to her.
It should be noted that although Naluswa and Bugingo separated beds a few years ago, they have never been legally divorced and according to law he cannot enter into any other binding marriage court dissolves his first marriage.
As a result of this, when he decided to enter into a traditional with Makula, Naluswa reacted by suing them both through her lawyer Male Kiwanuka Mabirizi.
Following Naluswa’s suit, Bugingo, the head pastor and co-founder House of Prayer Ministry and Makula, were on Wednesday charged with three counts under the Marriage Act.
Entebbe Court grade one Magistrate Stella Okwanga Pacular charged the couple with contracting marriage by customary law when already married under the Marriage Act, in a Marriage with a person previously married, which in tantamount to Bigamy and contrary to section 153 under the penal code Act.
Bugingo and Makula are expected to appear in court to plead to the charges on January 21st next year, failure to do which will leave court with no option but to rule the case in their absentia.
