Is it the dust on Kampala roads whenever it shines or the mud when it rains? Whatever the reason, Police have degazetted the popular all-white uniform that traffic officers have been putting on for several years and made them look like nyonyi nyange (Egret bird) on our dusty roads.

While speaking to the media at the launch, the Chairman of the Police Uniform Committee, who also doubles as the Political Police Commisar, Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIGP) Asan Kasingye has said that the new uniform structure was approved by the committee prior to the Police Council meeting that was held on November 18, 2019.
