City businessman Rajiv Ruparelia, son of Kampala mogul Dr Sudhir Ruparelia, has officially announced the inauguration of the new Central Motor Club Board of Trustees.
The Central Motor Club sat today Saturday September 5, 2020 at Kabira Country Club for their Annual General Meeting, during which they voted Shaym Kotecha as the new chairman of the Board of Trustees.
Shortly after the election, Rajiv, who is a champion motor rally driver, tweeted thus;
“Proud day for the Central Motor Club family as the New Board of Trustees was introduced officially to push the club to new heights & keep the motor sport spirit alive. I would like to thank everyone who made this Annual General Meeting a success!
He added that; “The Central Motor Club has elected the new leadership during its Annual General Meeting held today at Kabira country club.
Shaym Kotecha is now the new club chairperson deputized by Kaketto Sayid.”
He also revealed that during the same meeting, a total of Shs102 million was raised by the members to steer the operations of the Central Motor Club.
Meanwhile Rajiv, who suffered an unfortunate accident that led to his dropping out of the National Rally Championship season opener in Mbarara and later performed well in the Jinja Rally, is currently improving his rally driving skills through frequent practice.
After the accident in Mbarara left his car wrecked, Rajiv and his team rebranded his now-famous VW Polo Proto christened double trouble.
The Volkswagen usually painted all white apart from the sponsors’ logos was seen in the garage being rebranded with a new fire orange gold-like look.
Rajiv, despite being a new entrant into the NRC fray, he has already got people talking and feeling threatened by his abilities behind the cockpit. One such person is Ponsiano Lwakataka, a seasoned rally driver.
Rajiv is a young, Dynamic, Vibrant Entrepreneur, Businessman and Passionate Promoter of Victoria University Kampala, Kampala Parents School, Kampala International School and Delhi Primary School.
In 2013, he graduated from Regents College London, UK with a Degree in Financial Management. He is endowed with top class education, knowledge and training required to navigate the knowledge driven economy of the 21st century.
He has strong analytical and technical skills, and ability to use initiative as well as apply professional judgement to aid decision-making.
Rajiv is the Managing Director of Crane Management Services a Large Property Management form with over 450 Properties under its wing. He plays a key role in property management and real estate business in the Ruparelia Group of Companies, which owns several buildings in and around Kampala.
