Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) stalwart Michael Kabaziguruka, who is also the former Member of Parliament for Nakawa Division, is mourning the loss of his wife Rose Mary Ayebare.
According to Kabaziguruka’s colleagues within the FDC, his wife Ayebare passed away during the festive season after a short illness.
Following her demise, a requiem mass for Ayebare’s soul at St. James Catholic Church, Bbiina, which was attended by a few close family members and some FDC stalwarts among them Lord Mayor Elias Lukwago, former presidential aspirant Patrick Oboi Amuriat, among others.
Notifying the public about this sad occurrence, the party officials wrote on social media thus; “Today FDC leaders joined the family of Hon. Micheal Kabaziguruka at the requiem mass of his wife Ayebare Rosary Mary held at St James Catholic Church Bbiina. Burial will take place tomorrow at their ancestral home in Kabale district. May Her soul rest in peace.”
Kabaziguruka, who was in Parliament from 2016 to 2021 on FDC ticket, said his dear wife was diabetic.
“She has been in and out of the hospital. She died at around 1:15 am this morning at Nakasero Hospital,” Kabaziguruka, who has two orphans with Ayebare, said.
He added that; “It’s a great loss. She was such a wonderful person.”
