News coming in indicates that Ian Rumanyika, who has been the Acting Manager Public and Corporate Affairs at the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA), has since thrown in the towel and quit his position.
Sources at the URA head offices in Nakawa reveal that Rumanyika tendered in his resignation letter today and effective April 5th, 2022, he ceases being an employee of the Authority.

However, although he claims to have resigned, Moles intimate that Rumanyika, who had served at URA for several years, was actually axed and replaced with a more experience person in the field of Public and Corporate Affairs management.
Moles thus intimate that instead of making it appear as if he had been fired, Rumanyika’s bosses gave him an opportunity to tender in a resignation letter such that he can leave the Authority honourably.
Other sources reveal that Rumanyika had been given an opportunity to work with the newly hired professional but he turned down the offer, hence throwing in the towel.
But efforts to contact Rumanyika for clarification about his exit from URA were futile by press time because he couldn’t be reached through his known phone numbers.
