Sad news coming in indicates that popular NBS TV political and current affairs analyst Dr Abdunoor Anas Kaliisa is dead.
Kaliisa has been pronounced dead Wednesday November 4, 2020, by members of his family and some of his friends, although the cause of his death is still unknown.
According to a family member, Kaliisa left office at Naguru today and returned home to have a rest as was his routine but he collapsed dead at home. His fFamily members say the cause of death is not known since he never complained of any illness.
Dr Kaliisa has been a knowledgeable Muslim cleric who offered public lectures on matters about Islam and delivered moving analyses about local, regional, and international politics and current affairs through his appearances in mosques, and regularly on NBS TV’s program called “Ensi N’ebyayo.”
Dr Kaliisa has been the CEO of Next Media’s Muslim-based Salaam TV and its Salaam Charity Uganda that has lent a helping hand to the poor around the country. He was the brother of Next Media’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dr Kin Kariisa.
He was an authority in matters of Islamic law. He was a graduate from the Islamic University of Medina with a B.A in Law and a certificate of practice from Law development Centre (Makerere University)
Many of his followers and viewers have since started sending in condolence messages to his family on all social media platforms.
The deceased’s body has since been taken to Mulago Hospital Mortuary to carry out a postmortem that will reveal the exact cause of death.
