Celebrated songbird Sheebah Samali Karungi aka Queen Sheebah seems to have undergone a complete metamorphosis by transitioning from singing secular to gospel music.
Moles reveal that Sheebah, who quit Jeff Kiwanuka aka Kiwa’s Team No Sleep (TNS) label a few days ago, has surprised many of her fans to outing a new gospel song titled ‘Mukama Yamba’, which she is set to release any time.
Revealing why she had decided to switch from secular to gospel, Sheebah said she had always known that God is above everything in her life and on earth but she had never dedicated time to worshipping him through music, reason why she has decided to start doing so.
“God has always been above ALL for me, but I have never showcased that in my work. I am now on the biggest Chapter of my life and I want to put God first in all that I do moving forward,” Sheebah wrote on Instagram.
She added that; “This song is very personal to me and symbolizes a lot that I feel and that is around me. This song is my personal Prayer this year. This is a song all of us can relate to. I wanted to be vulnerable with you all and show you that I am not perfect, there’re times I cry, times that I sin just like all of us but God has always been my anchor and my strength.”
“This is also for you my lovers, Sheebaholics, I see you and I know the past 2 years have transformed nearly each aspect of our lives. I know a lot of us have lost family, friends and loved ones due to COVID and I want you to know that I sympathize with you and extend my sincere condolences. May God lead the way for all of us in 2022,” she concluded.
However, Sheebah’s transition has sparked off lots of concern amongst her fans, many of who fear she might end up like up like Goodlyfe’s Mowzey Radio who died in 2017 shortly after releasing a number of gospel songs and Emmanuel Mayanja alias AK47, who also died shortly after quitting Jeff Kiwa’s TNS and outing a gospel song.
