Sheila Gashumba Faces Social Media Backlash After Announcing That She Has Rejoined Tv

Sheila Carol Gashumba is back on our tv screens! Isn’t that something to savour and drink to? Well, it isn’t! The city socialite and loose talker has landed herself a job at Next Media Services as one of the presenters for the NBS After Five show alongside MC Kats, Douglas Lwanga, DVJ Mercy and DJ Roja.

However, if the social media reception is to go by, Sheila has entered the record books for the most savage and unwelcome reception to tv any presenter has ever been subjected to, thanks to her earlier comments about Ugandan television stations.

At the height of her war of words with NTV where he accused the Serena based TV of underpaying her had claimed she would rather drive an Uber than work for a Ugandan TV.

Now when her advent to the show was announced by Douglas Lwanga on his socials, the backlash that greeted it was alarming. Many retrieved a tweet in which she made the allegations and slapped it into her face while others believed her coming spells bad news for the show.

Some of the comments:

“OH my got omwaana womugagga azemu okolera 50k!” Commented a one Nakalema Mable.

“Katogo programme! Old is gold,” snapped a one Hannington Crawford

“That means the end! I won’t watch the show again! I don’t watch hooligans” Dwayne Honcho was savagely unforgiving.

Others were quick to remind her that Next media is actually a Ugandan media house which goes against her earlier stance that she’d never set foot on any Ugandan TV set.

“This world is really round like a square. Sheila Gashumba through her father swore never to work for a Ugandan TV ever again. You’re now welcome to BBC and CNN of Uganda..,..” Obwin John Steven remarked, with scorn.

“What happened to the programme she had started with God’s Plan. I thought she was to start her own tv station. Brag Mpola,” added another.
