Shocking: Anti-Pornography Crusader Fr. Lokodo Dead

News that has just come in indicates that former Ethics Minister Fr. Simon Lokodo passed away this morning in Geneva, Switzerland, where he was undergoing medical attention.

His death has been confirmed by several credible sources including the Uganda Human Rights Commission, which tweeted Saturday thus;

“It’s with great shock and pain that we‘ve learnt of the passing of our Honourable Member of the Commission, Fr. Simon Lokodo. He passed on this morning in Geneva Switzerland Flag of Switzerland. The Commission will share details in due course. May the Almighty Rest His Soul in Eternal Peace.”

The Deputy Speaker of Parliament Rt. Hon. Anita Among also condoled with the bereaved family by tweeting thus;

“My deepest sympathies go out to the family and friends of Hon. Fr Simon Lokodo ,the people of Karamoja and the Country.The Country has lost a Leader who served with dedication and had so much life ahead of him. May his Soul find eternal rest.”

Fr. Lokodo, who became famous some time back for leading the crusade against pornography in Uganda, will be missed by several moralists to rallied behind his cause.

Details about the cause of his unfortunate demise and funeral programme will be revealed in our subsequent reports.

Who Is Lokodo:

Simon Lokodo was a Ugandan politician who served as Minister of State for Ethics and Integrity in the Office of the President of Uganda since 2011.

Previously he was the Minister of State for Industry from 2009 to 2011.

He also served as the elected Member of Parliament representing Dodoth County, Kaabong District since 2006 until his death in 2022.
