City socialite Suleiman Kabangala Mbuga alias SK Mbuga, has landed himself in boiling hot soup after he attacked the National Unity Platform (NUP) presidential contender Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine, whom he alleges is being funded by foreign powers.
Trouble for SK Mbuga started when he recorded a video and shared it on his social media, in which he alleges that Bobi Wine is receiving funding from foreign countries whose interests are to destabilize Uganda and that the same foreigners first approached him (Mbuga) with the same deal, offering him lots of money, although he chewed the money and later rejected it.
However, Mbuga’s allegations against Bobi Wine have since attracted a backlash for him from thousands of People Power and NUP supporters, who have hurled all sorts of insults at the STV Boss, on top of calling him a fraud, among other things.
One of Bobi Wine’s ardent supporters and popular blogger Peng Peng has since unleashed a barrage of lethal secrets about Mbuga and his wife Jalia Birungi Mbuga, whom he (Peng Peng) alleges goes after young, energetic boys like DJ Sleek Stuart, Grenade Official and others because of her husband’s poor performance in bed.
It should be recalled that Mbuga was arrested and jailed in Sweden for several months over allegations of conning over Shs23Bn from businessmen in Sweden and Dubai.
Mbuga was arrested in 2017 in Dubai and detained at Awiir Central jail, over allegations of fraud and but was later extradited to Sweden over another fraud case involving $2.6 million in gold deals.
Together with his wife, Jalia Angela Vivienne Chebet Birungi, the couple were accused of fraudulent transfer of money amounting to 53 million Kronor (about Shs23 billion) from a company account Chebet was running with her then 71-year old Swedish boyfriend, Sten Heinsoo.
Birungi was later arrested from their home in Muyenga and was thrown in a cold cellar at Luzira prison for five months before being granted bail.
After serving his time in jail, Mbuga was later deported from Sweden and has since settled in Uganda where he runs some businesses.
