Kampala Associated Advocates (KAA), which is one of Uganda’s most successful private law firms, is celebrating their 20th Anniversary, following several years of professional litigation.
One of the people who have heaped praises upon KAA lawyers for this milestone is prominent city lawyer Isaac Ssemakadde, who penned a hearty congratulatory message, which reads in part thus:
“I know the set at KAA, and wholeheartedly congratulate them upon their 20th anniversary.
This is one of my best moments of brilliance and benediction.
In March 2017 KAA announced a brilliant game-changer by promoting into the ranks of its gilded partnership five young Turks.”
He went on to name the young Turks as; Ellison Karuhanga, Bruce Musinguzi, Augustine Idoot, Jet Tumwebaze and Zulaika Kasajja.
Commending the firm’s young Turks about their success, Ssemakadde noted:
“Cynics said it was a gimmick, and the critics said; ‘Too much, too soon.’
But looking back at the successful passage of the Crane Bank brief through blistering hearings at COSASE and the three levels of Superior Courts, this was a Solomonic Decision.
The Young Turks have proved the cynics and critics wrong, and set immutable precedent.
Coinciding with its 20th anniversary is the historic three-tier win in the USD100 million case that was illegally brought against Dr. Sudhir Ruparelia by the Central Bank on 30th June, 2017- indisputably the largest verdict for a private client in the annals of our legal history.”
He concluded that; “The upshot is that at KAA succession is not empty rhetoric or mere posturing. Let all firms learn from this.
To all my colleagues at KAA, blessings and more blessings.”
