Stanbic Bank Chief Executive Anne Juuko and her fiancé Apollo Makubuya, a Partner at popular law firm MMAKS Advocates, are slated to hold a private (Kwanjula) introduction ceremony this month.
Their Kwanjula ceremony, which is slated for August 20th, comes a few weeks after Makubuya visited Juuko’s parents at another traditional ceremony known as ‘Kukyala’.
It is during their Kwanjula that Juuko will be officially given to Makubuya as his bride-to-be and shall thereafter be followed by a massive wedding.
The two have been dating for a long time but news about them deciding to make their relationship official started circulating early this year and since then preparations towards that milestone have been underway.
We hear the couple plans to walk down the aisle at Namirembe Cathedral on August 27th and the wedding ceremony will be attended by only a few close invited family members and friends.
Formerly a lawyer for Buganda kingdom monarch Kabaka Ronald Mwenda Mutebi, Makubuya is a Partner at MMAKS Advocates, one of Uganda’s largest and most influential law firms.
After tying the knot, the couple will host friends, family, and associates at private wedding reception that will be held at Makubuya’s farmhouse in Wakiso, on the outskirts of Kampala City.
