The management of Centenary Bank has announced a temporary closure of several branches in Kampala Central Business District following a terrorists attack on Tuesday that left three people dead and 33 injured.

A statement from Centenary Bank indicates that the following branches have been temporarily closed until the security situation normalizes; Mapeera, Entebbe Road, Nakivubo, Freedom City, Najjanankumbi, Makerere, Rubaga, Bwaise, Wakiso, Kawempe, Kawuku, Ntinda, Kabalagala, Kireka, Nansana and Lugogo.

The bank has since urged clients to seek services through their digital banking channels.
Meanwhile, the police have confirmed that three people died following the bomb attacks and 33 sustained injuries, although five are critically injured.


The police also revealed that another suicide bomber only identified as Mozey Lumiramwoyo was pursued until Bwaise, from where he was shot and disabled, before being arrested.

He later took the police to his home from where they recovered suicide vest and several other equipment used to make improvised explosives.
