Tooro Kingdom Queen Mother Kemigisa Celebrates 55th Birthday

All Batooro in Uganda and across the world are in jubilation mood because the Tooro kingdom Queen Mother H.H Best Kemigisa has clocked another year.

Kemigisa, who is the mother of Omukama Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru and Princess Ruth Komuntale, today celebrates her 55th birthday, a few days after her son celebrated his 30th birthday.

 As a way of being a part of this special day in her mother’s life, Komuntale penned her the following message, congratulating her upon making another year on earth;

“Everybody stand up! Stand up! The queen has arrived! Her name is Best Kemigisa Akiiki Star! On this grand day a very special person was born! My mother, my best friend & queen of my heart! Happy birthday mama! Continue to age like fine wine in Jesus Name!”

She added that; “May you continue to be a living testimony in this land of the living! I declare you will never end in Shame! Long life, happiness, prosperity, great health and many more abundant blessings are your heritage in Jesus Mighty Name! Thank you for loving me unconditionally mom! I love you sooo much & know your goodie is always here for you!”

Queen Best Kemigisa Akiiki, born 1967, is the Queen Mother of the Tooro Kingdom, based in Fort Portal city, Uganda.

She is the daughter of Prince (Omubiito) Mujungu, of the Batuku clan, of Rwebisengo in Present day Ntoroko district.

At the time of her birth, Ntoroko was a county of Kabarole district before curving it around 1974 into Bundibugyo district alongside Bwamba County.

She was educated at Kahinju Primary School, Mpanga Senior Secondary School and Kyebambe Girls School, all in Fort Portal city, Tooro Kingdom.

 She is the Founder and Patron of the Tooro Women’s Development Association and a co-founder of the African Queens and Women Cultural Leaders Network.
