A senior Commissioner at the Mnistry of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives (MTIC) is breathing no more after her perished in a fatal accident that occurred on Saturday night, along the Kawempe- Matugga Road.
According to family sources, Abdul Kasule, who was the Acting Commissioner for Internal Trade died instantly after his official vehicle, a double-cabin pickup number lost control as he drove home, before it overturned several times.
We have established that a few hours after the accident traffic police was called to the scene to remove the body which they took to Mulago Hospital mortuary for postmortem before it was later handed to the relatives for burial.
Kasule’s untimely demise shocked many of his colleagues at the Ministry, among them being the Minister Amelia Kyambadde, who announced his death by writing thus on social media;
“I regret to announce the death of Abdul Kasule, Commissioner Internal Trade@mtic_Uganda following a nasty accident.”
On their part, the Ministry late Kasule worked with as Commissioner euolgised him thus;
“Ministry of Trade Ug @mtic_uganda
Its a dark day at the Ministry of Trade,Industry and Cooperatives.We have lost Mr. Abdu Kasule the Ag. Commissioner Internal Trade.He died in a car accident on Saturday Night and will be laid to rest today Monday 3rd May 2021 at his home in Mattuga Sanga at 2:00 PM. MHSRIP”
We have learnt that the police are still conducting investigations to discover what could have caused the tragic accident that claimed Kasule’s life.
