City businessman Rajiv Ruparelia, the Managing Director of the Ruparelia, who is also one of Uganda’s motor rally champions, seems to have resorted to playing golf as he waits for the motor cross rallies to resume in the country.
It should be noted that rally driving, which is one of Uganda’s favourite sports, was halted in March this year, when President Yoweri Museveni announced the closure of all stadia and indoor games sports arenas and gyms as one of the ways to prevent the spread of the deadly Coronavirus(COVID-19 ) pandemic.
However, following President Museveni’s directive to resume sports, especially outdoor games, many Ugandans have embraced golf, since it is one of the games that ensure the maintenance of social distancing.

As a result, Rajiv, who heads the Rajiv Rally Team, has since halted his passion for rally driving and opted to play golf with some of his tight buddies.
Our Moles reveal that over the weekend, Rajiv and pals stormed Kitante Golf Course in Kampala, where they enjoyed a very exhilarating time.
Shortly after their golfing session, Rajiv tweeted a picture of him with his pals which he captioned; “Glad to spend time over the weekend playing golf with @MarvinKagoro & Casper Okiru. Man golfing… Great guys!”
Well, we hope this year’s motor cross calendar which was disrupted by the COVID-19 outbreak can revised and re-announced, such that rally fans can experience Rajiv back on the tracks!
