In a bid to promote motorsport in Uganda, the Managing Director of the Ruparelia Foundation, Rajiv Ruparelia, has together with a team from Victoria University donated an ambulance to the Federation of Motorsports Uganda (FMU).
The ambulance, which was handed over to FMU officials on Tuesday shall be used to respond emergencies in the country like accidents that happen during motor rallies and other cases that require immediate evacuation.
Shortly after handing over the ambulance Rajiv, who is also one of Uganda’s renowned rally drivers, wrote on social media thus; “Our team driver, Rajiv Ruparelia represented Ruparelia Foundation together with Victoria University in a donation ceremony of an ambulance to facilitate the activities of FMU ( Federation of Motorsports Uganda.
According to Dipu Ruparelia, who is the FMU president, the Federation’s main goal is to ensure that motorsport remains the number one sport in the country and that through motorsport Uganda gets international recognition.
