Going by what is happening at city bars and social events in Kampala, it seems some Ugandans are either too forgetful or just reckless.
This comes after health officials observing that several partiers and owners of recreational facilities have since stopped observing COVID-19 Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs).
The concerned officials reveal that although COVID-19 is still a big threat in the country, several Ugandans to flock social events and bars no longer sanitize or wear masks there is totally no social distancing.
This kind of reckless partying, health experts warn, is likely to expose the partiers to higher chances of getting infected with COVID-19. According to the Ministry of Health, results of COVID-19 tests done on 4 April 2022 confirmed three new cases.
The cumulative confirmed cases are 163,954, out of which 100,195 Cumulative Recoveries and 3,596 deaths recorded, with 3 active cases currently admitted at facilities.
