A procurement officer working with the Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) identified as Paul Magira perished in a fatal accident that occurred on Monday morning in Busembatia, along the Mbale-Tirinyi Road.
Magira died together with a colleague he was traveling in the same vehicle when their ill-fated car, a Land Cruiser registration number UAL 334J lost control and rolled several times as they drove to Mbale.
Magira’s colleague had however not been ably identified by the traffic by the time of filing this article and investigations into what could have caused the fatal incident are still on going.
However, the bodies of the deceased were conveyed to Mbale Regional Hospital pending postmortem as investigations continue.
The incident however comes a few weeks after a fatal accident along the same road claimed the lives of six people and left several others injured.
The territorial Police in Budaka on May 04, 2022 registered a fatal accident at Mailo tano, along the Mbale-Tirinyi Road, which claimed lives of six people.
The accident involved motor vehicles Registration number UAT 995A (Raum) and UBH 437K (Toyota Hiace) and UBJ 676W (Toyota Hiace).
The Six people confirmed dead were identified as; Mulabi David, Namarome Fatima, Nambafu kurusum, Kafero isaka, and a yet to be unidentified male adult. The cause of accident was attributed to over speeding by the driver of the taxi number UBJ 676W.
