Songbird Veronica Luggya aka Vinka, who is signed to Muyenga based Swangz Avenue records, is rocking the airwaves in Uganda and across the borders with her new hit single titled ‘Love Panic’.
Vinka premiered the ‘Love Panic’ music video recently but our music pundits contend that the song has since gone viral on almost all social media music platforms, on top of being one of the most requested for jams on all Ugandan and East African TV stations.
Produced by Nessim and directed by Marvin Musoke, Vinka’s ‘Love Panic’ seems to be the hottest jam currently on Uganda’s music scene.
However, apart from ‘Love Panic’, Vinka, who is managed by Swangz Avenue bosses Benon Mugumbya and Alex Kyazze, is also known for several hit songs that include; ‘Malaika,’ ‘Omukwano’, ‘Mapozi’, among others.
Vinka was the manager of the famous Ugandan female musician Irene Ntale before she went on to sing. They had dissensions about cash and chose to part ways.
That was the time when Ntale decided to leave Swangz Avenue, a label that had helped her release mainstream hit songs like ‘Sembera’, ‘Gyobera’ among others, after which she died a musical death.
Vinka decided to step into singing and was backed up by Swangz Avenue starting January 2017. She has since turned into one of Uganda’s leading female musicians.
She released her first single called ‘ Stylo’ containing a lot of sexual innuedos in it but the song became popular among fans.
The ‘Stylo’ song formally introduced Vinka to the loving crowd of Ugandan music. She has continued to release hit after hit since then, without ever looking back at the hustles she went through to reach where she is today.
