The management of WorldRemit, a global money transfer company, has finally come out to address the matter of closing business in Uganda.
The matter came to light on Monday July 4, 2022, after the Bank of Uganda issued a statement in which they notify the public about the closure of WorldRemit Money Transfer (U) Limited.

WorldRemit reached out to us via Twitter and this is what they said; “Hi @exposedug, WorldRemit is a global company and is constantly evolving the markets that we serve. This implies that despite ending our operations in Uganda, we will still allow sending money from overseas to Uganda. Just let us know if you have questions. Thanks!”
