Whoever claimed that celebrated Ugandan musician Winnie Nakanwagi alias Winnie Nwagi will never perform again in the United Kingdom should go hang!

As you read this, Nwagi is preparing to travel to the UK, where she is slated to perform at a major concert dubbed Celebrating Africa, which will be held at the famous OVO Wembley Arena, on October 21st, 2022.

Our Moles reveal that Nwagi will be performing at the said concert alongside other big-name African musicians, among them Diamond Platnumz, Sarkodie, Vegedream and Lojay.

Sponsored by popular UK based Ugandan event promoters Boss Entertainment, Celebrating Africa is a concert aimed at giving Africans living in the diaspora, especially the UK, an opportunity to experience, enjoy  and appreciate African music.

It should be noted that  Nwagi will be the first Ugandan musician to perform at the famed Ovo Arena Wembley, which has over the years hosted several successful international concerts.

The OVO Arena Wembley is one of the UK’s most legendary concert and events venues.

With a rich history that goes back to its days as the Empire Pool and Sports Arena, the building has played host to numerous events including the 1948 and 2012 Olympics and for over 60 years, the 12,500 capacity Arena has seen some of the biggest names in music walk through its doors from Queen, The Rolling Stones and The Beatles to David Bowie, Cher, Michael Jackson, Madonna and ABBA.

Hosting over 100 shows a year, the venue welcomes around 1million fans every year.

Despite being synonymous with live music, OVO Arena Wembley has cemented its status as a sporting venue to rival its neighbouring Stadium.

This concert is bound to elevated Nwagi to another level in music ranking not only in Uganda but also internationally, because very few African musicians have got the opportunity to perform at the Ovo Wembley Arena.
